Identity and birth year. Lucy is traced to her married name, Tebbetts: her California death record names her father as Elisha Morrill, and records her age as 74 at death on 9 November 1919, which implies a birth about 1845. Find a Grave gives her birth as 27 September 1845. The tree’s birth of 27 September 1843 agrees with those sources on the day and month but not the year; the discrepancy is unresolved. Needs independent verification: the death certificate image, for her age, birthplace and parents.^[15]

Marriage and household. The 1875 New Hampshire marriage record names the bride as Lucy J. Morrill, born at Concord, with Elisha Morrill as her father, and the groom as Hiram W. Tebbetts, aged 30, son of Hiram B. and Lauria Tebbetts. In the 1910 Los Angeles census Louisia J. Tebbetts, aged 64 and born in New Hampshire, heads a household that includes daughters Frances W. (24) and Louise E. (22), both born in Illinois. Needs independent verification: Hiram’s birth date and place, since his age of 30 in the marriage record is the only evidence and the birthplace there reads LA; and birth records for the daughters naming Lucy as their mother.^[17]
