Israel Morrill was receving a pension for service in the Revolutionary War under the Massachusetts Militia, aged 77 in 1835. Pension Roll of 1835. [5]

Israel Morrill enlisted in the Revolutionary War at Salisbury in 1776 and attained the rank of Corporal. For much of his service, he worked in a shipyard building vessels for the Revolutionary Army. He also helped capture an enemy vessel.
