STATE OF CONNECTICUT CORONER ‘S REPORT FAIRFIELD COUNTY 18 The undersigned , Coroner , having notice of the death of George P. Morrill , a white male 61 years old , late of Westbrook , Conn . , who on September 29 , 1938 , died a sudden death en route to St. Vincent ‘s Hospital in the town of Bridgeport , having made immediate inquiry concerning his death , do hereby certify that said George P. There was no Coroner ‘s hearing held in this case , as it was shown by reports from the Medical Examiner and the Police Department of Bridgeport , that the deceased just previous to his death while driving easterly along North Avenue , appeared to lose control of his car , and while traveling at an excessive rate of speed struck one or more stop signs , several other vehicles and ultimately a telegraph pole .
