The 1930 U.S. census (Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts) records Leon as a married head of household with wife Edna and a three-year-old son, placing the marriage by about 1926-1927; no marriage record has been located, so the existing ‘ABT 1925’ estimate stands. A Maine tombstone-inscription surname index independently names the couple together (Leon L. Morrill, 1903-1986, and Edna C. Willey), corroborating the pairing; it also gives wife Edna a middle initial ‘C’, a detail deferred pending a stronger source.[4]
