(27) and an infant brother at Colona Township, Henry County; the 1910 census lists her, aged 12, with George F., Anna M. and Gilman, aged 9, at East Moline. Her parents are named only as G. F. Johnson and Anna M. Schulze on the index of her marriage of 1 July 1917 at Los Angeles; the bride and groom’s ages and the groom’s parents, C. O. Morrill and M. Patterson, agree with Frank Edgar Morrill, son of Charles Oscar Morrill and Margaret Miranda Patterson. The 1900 census records where the family lived, not where Irma was born, so it neither supports nor contradicts the birthplace of Iuka recorded earlier.
Children
Elma Morrill was born in Ventura County, California, on 28 August 1918, the first child of Frank Edgar Morrill and Irma Johnson. The state birth register names her mother by her maiden name, Johnson, and lists no father. Her obituary gives Montalvo as her birthplace and residence, and names two husbands, E Dean Mercer and Jerry Young; her married surname Benzien and her step-sons Wally and Bob Benzien point to a third marriage, to a Mr Benzien; the order of the marriages is not stated. It names two children, Jerrol Mercer and Dena Morrill Mercer.[8]

Geraldine T. Morrill, called Geri, was born at Montalvo, Ventura County, California, on 25 June 1923; the state birth register spells her given name Geraldin and names her mother by her maiden name, Johnson. Her obituaries name her husband Wilfred T Davy Jr and call her mother Irma Johnson Morrill.[20]
