Three other records agree on 27 May 1894: the First World War draft registration, the Oregon death index, and, for the month and year, the 1900 census of Furnas County, Nebraska, which lists Roy E, aged 6, born May 1894 in Nebraska, son of Walt and Adell E Morrill, with a sister Bessa V, aged 8; the 1900 household matches the family of Waldo O. Morrell and Emma Adell Twist. He died on 24 October 1982 in Clackamas County, Oregon, according to the Oregon death index; a Portland obituary summary gives his residence as Aloha and his age as 88, and names a sister, Elinor Drury, and a son, Leonard W. Carrick, who are not otherwise known in his parents’ family; whether Elinor was a half-sister and Leonard a stepson is unresolved. Needs independent verification: the birthplace Earl, Nebraska comes from a draft-card index whose card image could not be read, and the obituary summary gives Frontier County, Nebraska instead.[7]
