Albert Morrill of Salisbury enlisted as a private on 29 August 1862 at the age of 37 in Company C, 48th Infantry Regiment Massachusetts. He mustered out on 3 September 1863 at Camp Lander. [3]The birth records of Salisbury show an Andrew Jackson Morrill born in 1825 to Benjamin and Miriam Morrill. It appears, however, that this same person referred to himself as Albert in adulthood. Albert was a shoemaker in Salisbury, Massachusetts.
