Like his father, John Adams Morrill was a lawyer. He served as Associate Justice of the Maine Supreme Court. In 1901 he was appointed to revise and consolidate the public laws of Maine, entitled “Revised Statutes of 1903.” He had numerous other posts, including trustee of the Auburn Public Library.
