Samuel Morrill served as a private in the Revolutionary War, enlisting at Atkinson New Hampshire in 1792 and serving for three years. Afterwards he was a farmer in Deering, New Hampshire. On the last page of the application is a listing of his estate as of 1820, consisting almost entirely of an array of animals, including cows, horses, and pigs.
