NOTE: needs independent verification: the exact birth 30 Sep 1914 and death 31 Mar 1973 rest on a single user-contributed Find a Grave memorial (information undetermined, QUAY 1); the 1950 census gives only an age (35) and birth year est. 1915 and the birth place Florida. The death place is taken from the burial locality, New Hope, Washington County, Florida; a Florida death index entry or obituary would confirm it.
Wife and children left open: the 1950 census lists a wife Mary E Faison (28) and sons Lamar (6) and R Buford Faison Jr (18); the memorial lists a son Rivers B. Faison Jr (1948-2001). A son aged 18 in 1950 does not agree with a Jr born 1948, so no wife or children are added here.[13]
Identity: the 1950 census names R Buford Faison as the son of Nancy J Faison, a widow of 77 heading the household, and the memorial names his parents William Costello Faison (1867-1920) and Nancy Jane Morrell Faison (1872-1968), the tree’s William Costilla Faison and Nancy Morrell (b. 25 Sep 1872, d. 27 Aug 1968); the memorial’s siblings Alonzo Leon (Lonnie) and Wren Royal are the tree’s children Alonzo L and Ren of that family.[14]
