Isaac Morrell enlisted in the Revolutionary War in 1776 and served as a drummer in Col. Philip Van Cortland’s Second New York Regiment, and was in the battle of White Plains, battle of Trenton, surrender of Burgoyne, battle of Monmouth, and surrender of Cornwallis. In his deposition in 1818, he gave his age as 58.
