Birth date corrected from the previously keyed ‘1666’ to ‘ABT 1667’ to match the tree’s own cited source (Stackpole, Old Kittery and Her Families, p. 619), which reads ‘Nicholas b. in 1667 as per dep.’ in its own text — the prior ‘1666’ entry appears to have been a transcription slip at data entry, not a source conflict. Independently corroborated by Nicholas Morrell’s own sworn 1723/4 deposition, which gives his age as ‘fifty seven years or thereabouts’ (implying birth ABT 1666-1667), and by a second, independent 1909 authored genealogy restating the same 1667 birth year.^[6]
