Samuel Morrell of Middlesex County, New Jersey, made his will on 12 January 1764, and it was proved on 16 December 1765; it gives his wife Phebe a third of his lands and names his sons Samuel (ten shillings), John, Thomas, Daniel and Amos and his daughters Jerusha (written Ieavsha), Mary, Phebe and Hannah, with his son John as executor, which agrees with the children of his marriage to Phebe Bailey recorded here. The death is placed at December 1765, the month the will was proved; he died after making the will in January 1764. Needs independent verification: the death date itself, which the will does not give.^[3]

On March 27, 1819, a deed to 225 acres of land was transferred from the estate of Thomas Morrell, deceased, to Thomas Morrell his son. Named in the deed are Althy Morrell widow of the deceased, Elnathan Morrell and Mary his wife, Asher Timothy Miller Morrell and Nancy his wife, Gamaliel Northrup and Jerusha his wife, joint heirs with Thomas Morrell to the estate of the deceased, all of the Parish of Springfield, County of Kings, New Brunswick.
