The Texas death index entry for Theodora Morrell Slocum names her parents as Theodore Sayre Morrell and Emma P. Moses. It gives her birth as 27 April 1869 at Newark, New Jersey, and her age at death as 79 years, which agree with each other. An earlier birth of April 1870, New Jersey, rests on the 1900 census, so the two differ by one year in the birth year; both are kept and neither is yet preferred. The entry calls her married and gives the surname Slocum, while the tree names her husband George Elwood Clymer; the entry does not say whether Slocum was an earlier or later husband.
