Benjamin Morrill of Boscawen, New Hampshire, holds patent no. 3,111 for an improvement to balances for weighing, issued May 26, 1843. He is more well known as a maker of various types of clocks, including mirror clocks, tall case clocks, banjo clocks, and shelf clocks. He also made at least four tower clocks, or towers with a clock on all four sides visible to the inhabitants of the town.

Boscawen town records incorrectly recorded that both Lucretia and her sister died in 1825. This seems to be incorrect, only her sister died in that year.
