The 1850 household (Danl G Morril, 57, born New Hampshire; Elizabeth, 41, born Virginia) is matched to him by name, age, New Hampshire birth and wife Elizabeth, and by his son Daniel Webster Morrill’s birth at Ripley, Virginia in 1828; the census row states no parents. The 1847 pension declaration of his father omits him from the four children it names as living, which fits a son who lived in Virginia; the father’s will of 21 Oct 1831 calls him ‘my third son Daniel Greely Morrill’.[7]
