Lucy M. Jordan
- Born
- 1848 at West Roxbury, Mass.
- Died
- 20 APR 1885[2] at Medfield, Mass.
Identity: the memorial names the husband as Elkanah Morrill, son of Aaron and Annie, where the tree has Elnathan W. Morrill; it lists as her children Frank Willis (1871-1947), Annie L. (1873-1964), Arthur Elmer (1875-1920) and Jennie Jordan (1877-1918), the exact Medfield sibship (with Frank’s own memorial and Boston Herald obituary confirming Medfield birth, burial and sister Annie), so Elkanah is read as a variant of the husband’s name; her parents Chauncey Jordan and Sarah Hooker/Hooper are lead-only. No other Lucy Jordan is attached to a Medfield Morrill husband in the tree. Memorial birth 1849 differs from the tree’s 1848 (West Roxbury); not altered.[3]
NOTE: needs independent verification: the death rests on one user-contributed memorial (QUAY 2 for the death entry, relationships QUAY 1); a Medfield town death record or Massachusetts death register for April 1885 would confirm the date.
Children
- Born
- 1870 · Mass.
Identity: the memorial gives birth 20 Aug 1871 at Medfield, identical to the tree, and lists his mother Lucy Marsh Jordan and siblings Annie, Arthur Elmer and Jennie, the children of the family; the Boston Herald obituary index gives a Medfield birth, Medfield burial and a sister Miss Annie L. Morrill. A different Frank Morrill (1867-1947, New Haven, Vermont) is excluded by birth year and place. The obituary gives his residence as Back Bay, Boston, and the memorial gives the death place as Boston; no death certificate or clipping image was seen.[11]
NOTE: needs independent verification: the death place Boston rests on a user-contributed memorial and a residence entry (Back Bay) in an obituary index, and the two index citations are QUAY 1; a Massachusetts death record for May 1947 or the 19 May 1947 Boston Herald notice would confirm the date and place.
In August 1918, Frank W. Morrill applied for a passport for travel to Europe to do work on behalf of the American Red Cross. He was at the time a Stationer living in Clinton, Massachusetts.
