[5]Ephraim Morrill was a carpenter, and moved to Concord sometime around 1842. His first wife Mahala died in 1856 when his only son Charles was twelve. Charles was sent to live with his Aunt Susan Gay in New London where he attended private school for the remainder of his youth. Ephraim remarried one year later. In 1869 he removed to Hamilton County, Iowa.
