Identity and discrepancies. The 1921 marriage record names the groom Frank Whitney Morrill, son of Frank Tidd Morrill and Annie French, and the Veterans Administration index gives his birth as 31 August 1881, the same day as the New York City birth index entry for Frank T. Morrill, Male, born at Brooklyn to Frank T. Morrill and Emma French Morrill. The birth index gives the mother as Emma where the marriage record and the tree give Annie; the discrepancy is unresolved. The 1900 census gives his birth as September 1881; the index day is preferred. The tree had recorded Frank as female with no middle name; every record located shows a man, Frank Whitney Morrill. Needs independent verification: the birth certificate image, which is viewable only at a FamilySearch Center.[5]
Family and death. The 1921 New York marriage record names Evelyn S. Walker, aged 24, daughter of Starr King Walker and Emily McCall Shelton. The 1937 obituary index names his widow Evelyn Walker Morrill and three children: Joyce Sheldon, Whitney French and Sheldon Morrill; the social security record of Starr Sheldon Morrill names Frank W. Morrill and Evelyn S. Walker as his parents. Only Starr Sheldon is entered as a child, since only his record gives vital facts. Needs independent verification: the marriage certificate image for the Manhattan entry numbered 4108; a Connecticut death record or the Kensico Cemetery burial record for the date and place of death; Evelyn’s birth; and birth records for Joyce and Whitney.[8]
