NOTE: needs independent verification: a cemetery office/sexton’s record, plot card, or death certificate for Hilldale Cemetery, Haverhill, Massachusetts confirming George Otis Morrill’s burial there (current support is a user-contributed Find a Grave memorial, QUAY 0). This memorial (117529329) is a separate, independently maintained record from the one (117529379) previously flagged with a Martinsville, Morgan Co., Indiana geocoding artifact for his wife Amelia’s record; this memorial’s own breadcrumb hierarchy (Massachusetts > Essex County > Haverhill > Hilldale Cemetery) structurally confirms the Haverhill, Massachusetts location.
George O. Morrill was a shoemaker in Salisbury, Massachusetts.
George Morrill, shoemaker, enlisted as a private on 13 June 1861, supposedly at the age of 19, though this does not agree with the other records. He was a member of Company H, 11th Infantry Regiment Massachusetts, and mustered out on 24 June 1864. [5]
