The obituary of Green Morrill reads, “In Northwood, N. H. July 31st suddenly of an attack of numb palsy, Mr. Green Morrill in the 81st year of his age. Mr. Morrill was among the first settlers of this town, and has been a firm and undeviating republican, and stood ready in the days that ‘tried men’s souls,’ to fight for that liberty which we now enjoy.” Based on US Census records, Green and Nancy Morrill had several children in Northwood.
Green Morrill marched with Capt. Henry Morrill’s company on April 20, 1775, in response to the alarm of April 19, in the War of the Revolution. He served 8 days. [6]
