John Morrill was a private in the Revolutionary War between July 1779 and 1783. He served in Capt. Chase’s Company and Col. Reed’s Regiment in the New Hampshire line and was honorably discharged at West Point. Appended to the Revolutionary War Pention Application is the last will and testament of Abigail (Knight) Morrill. In it she names her son-in-law David Brown as executor of her estate and sole heir to her estate. The papers also state that her living children were John Morrill, Sarah Heath, Abigail Thurston, and Hannah Brown.
