His New Hampshire death record names him ‘John Lorenzo Dow Morrill’, bridging the two names, and gives parents John Morrill and Lydia Hall, the couple already in the tree. The precise birth (14 Jul 1846, Nottingham) is kept over the census-age estimate (1849, NH only): the death record’s age at death backs out to about 10 Jul 1846, within days of the recorded date and far more consistent with it than with 1849 (the 1850 census lists him at ‘age 1’, a common rounding for infants in that era’s enumeration). Exactly one person in the tree is born 14 Jul 1846.[4]
