Joseph Morrill enlisted in the Revolutionary War in February 1776 at Methuen, Massachusetts for the term of two months. He was stationed near Charlestown and was present when the British evacuated Boston. In July 1776, Joseph Morrill reenlisted for the term of five months in the regiment of Col. Wigglesworth. For much of this time he was stationed at Fort Ticonderoga. In August 1777 he reenlisted for a third term in the regiment of Col. Johnson. During this final term he was in the battle at Stillwater.
