At the time of his marriage, Lewis Morrill was a “cordwainer,” or shoe maker.
Lewis Morrill of Lynn, shoemaker, enlisted as a Private on 1 September 1862 at the age of 34 in Company A, 17th Infantry Regiment Massachusetts. He received a disability discharge on 2 February 1863. [6]
