The obituary of Moses Morrill reads, “In Sanford, Mr. Moses Morrill, in the 32nd year of his age. Few men in common life will be more missed than the deceased. As a trader he was upright and punctual in his dealings; not only meriting the confidence but enjoying the esteem of all who had any concern with him. As a neighbor and a friend, he cannot soon be forgotten; and his example as a man of pure morality sheds a lustre around the vicinity where he resided. His loss to society will not easily be repaired.
