Birthplace conflict resolved: a FamilySearch Family Tree contributor profile (person LWYF-3QP, user-contributed, unsourced) states Hannah Morrill was born 17 Aug 1802 in Boscawen, Merrimack Co., New Hampshire. The birth day and month agree exactly with this record’s existing sourced birth, but the place conflicts with the cited Mt. Vernon, Maine town and vital record (Mount Vernon (Maine) Town Clerk, Town and vital records, 1796-1891 — an original, contemporaneous town register). The FamilySearch tree entry carries no source of its own on the birth fact — its only two attached sources are unrelated 1825/1835 Ohio tax records for the husband, Henry Balding — so it is retained here only as an investigated and rejected lead: an uncited, undetermined-informant tree claim (QUAY 0) cannot outweigh an original town clerk’s vital register (QUAY 3). Mt. Vernon, Maine stands as recorded. The same tree entry’s unsourced 1832 Ohio marriage date and four children (Lewis, Jenneatte, William, James Henry Balding) were investigated and are likewise not assimilated — no independent record was located for any of them.[6]
