Needs independent verification: his death day, which rests on a user-contributed memorial; the 1940 census gives his age as 56 and birthplace Illinois, consistent with 1883.[9]
NOTE: Albert’s birth day rests on an Illinois birth register index entry that also names his twin, David James Beattie, and agrees with the day given on his Find a Grave memorial and on his own statements in the 1917-1918 and 1942 draft registrations. The register names Champaign, Illinois as the place, which is the county; his 1916 marriage record gives Philo, Illinois, a town in Champaign County, and the 1900 census finds the family in Champaign Township, so his birth place is known only as Champaign County. His name is spelled Agustus on the memorial and the 1917-1918 card, Agustis on the 1942 card and Augustus in the birth register.

Needs independent verification: Susie Beattie’s exact birth day and death day rest on the Social Security index (which gives the full birth date and the death month) and a user-contributed memorial that cites the Indiana death certificate, which has not been seen; the Social Security death month agrees with the memorial. The 1940 census records her as a married woman of 57 born in Illinois, living in Scipio Township, LaPorte County, Indiana, with her husband Albert Beattie and a son, James.[19]
