Charles Henry Morrell farmed in Johnson Township, near Owaneco, Christian County, Illinois, from the 1910 census through 1950. A user-contributed memorial places his birth at Rosamond and gives the same birth date; the draft registration gives only the county. Needs independent verification: the town of his birth (Rosamond is stated only on the memorial), his burial at Millersville Cemetery (a cemetery index entry, a memorial and an obituary index entry), and the death place Taylorville and day 15 February 1966, which rest on a newspaper obituary index entry that gives his age as 77 and his birth as about 1889, while the Social Security index gives only February 1966.[12]

Cora McVicker, daughter of Elmer E. McVicker and Adelaide (Barrett) McVicker, married Charles Henry Morrell at Owaneco on 20 February 1908; the marriage record gives her middle initial as E., later records as L. The 1900 census lists her with sisters Rosa B., Roxey P. and Lola A. and brother Everette E.; her obituary names sisters Mrs Josie Osborn and Mrs Lola Davis. A Find a Grave memorial transcribes the Decatur Herald & Review obituary of 14 October 1963, which says she died at home and heads the notice Owaneco; the newspaper index in the tree gives Owaneco as her residence. Needs independent verification: her marriage date and place, which rest on one county marriage index entry, her burial at Millersville Cemetery, her birth (a May 1888 date from the 1900 census and a cemetery index, with an obituary age about 1888), her death date (a newspaper obituary index and the cemetery index) and her place of death, Owaneco, which rests on the Owaneco heading and the words “died at home” in the 14 October 1963 Herald & Review obituary as transcribed on a Find a Grave memorial.[24]

NOTE: Needs independent verification: the place of death rests on the Owaneco heading and the words “died at home” in the 14 October 1963 Herald & Review obituary as transcribed on Find a Grave, and has not yet been confirmed by a second source.
