Arthur Putnam Morrill graduated from Yale in 1896 and then Harvard Law School in 1899. In Concord he was a member of the law firm of Sargent, Niles, and Morrill until 1904. After a number of years in the insurance business (Morrill & Danforth) he served two terms as a New Hampshire State Representative (1915-1918) and one term in the New Hampshire State Senate (1919-1921).
