Conflict resolution: Obadiah Morrill’s headstone at Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, NH (Find a Grave memorial 178902823) gives his birth as 11 Feb 1854. This is rejected: it is contradicted by three independently sourced age estimates — the 1850 census (age 6, cited below, implying b. ~1844, matching the tree’s existing FEB 1844 exactly), his 1874 marriage record (age 34, implying b. ~1840), and the 1900 census already on this record. A birth of 1854 is also biologically implausible against his mother Rosilla Morrison Morrill’s own recorded birth date of 25 Jun 1802, which would make her 51 at his birth. The headstone date is judged a likely decade-transposition error and is not adopted; the tree’s existing FEB 1844 birth is retained, now corroborated by the 1850 census above.[7]
NOTE: Conflict resolution: the tree previously carried DEAT 05 JUN 1920 with no source citation. This FamilySearch death record (parents Folsom Morrill / Rosella Morrison matching the tree exactly) independently gives 07 JUN 1920 for the same event — a 2-day discrepancy on a value that had never been sourced. The sourced date is adopted; no prior citation existed to lose.
